2CPD-2HOURS-Webinar
Introduction
Orthokeratology (ortho-k) has become a leading non-surgical solution for myopia control and vision correction, offering patients
the freedom from daytime lenses while slowing myopic progression. However, successful ortho-k practice requires a solid understanding of patient selection, corneal topography analysis, and precise troubleshooting to achieve the best outcomes for
patients.
This webinar will provide a practical, step-by-step guide to fitting orthokeratology lenses. Participants will gain hands-on insights
into identifying suitable candidates, interpreting corneal topography maps, and addressing challenges such as lens decentration or poor adaptation. Case studies will highlight proven strategies to ensure comfort, safety, and effectiveness in ortho-k myopia management.
Objectives
1. To introduce the fundamentals of orthokeratology lens fitting and its role in myopia control.
2. To demonstrate patient selection criteria, including age, refractive errors, and lifestyle suitability.
3. To provide practical guidance on interpreting corneal topography maps and designing initial lens parameters.
4. To equip participants with troubleshooting techniques for common ortho-k challenges, such as lens decentration, poor centration outcomes, and adaptation issues.
5. To showcase real-world case studies illustrating successful ortho-k fittings and improved myopia control outcomes.
